Kaltura-CE Setup

BuddyPress media component can be used out-of-the box with Kaltura.com’s server. This means any photo/video/audio uploaded by your users will be stored on Kaltura.com’s server which provides limited storage and 1GB bandwidth per month in its free plan.

If for some reason, you want your users to upload all files on your webserver, you need to install Kaltura-CE on it.

Installing Kaltura-CE is not as simple as installing WordPress & BuddyPress. Also, not each webserver is capable of running Kaltura-CE.
